Ontario Agriculture

The network for agriculture in Ontario, Canada

No doubt in my mind 3D printing will be the next revolutionary change in agriculture in Ontario.

There have been some recent advances in the field of medicine whereby living tissue has moved to the next level of 3 dimensional printing.

"The next step, according to Graham, is to develop complementary printing techniques that will allow for the use of additional kinds of living and hybrid materials. At the same time, they’re exploring the production of their current artificial tissues on an industrial scale."

How long will it take to bio-print tissue from a cow, chicken or pig?  Will agriculture produce animals for food when bio-printing replaces animal husbandry?

The environmental impact of bio-printing animal tissue would be enormous as well as the economic impact on agriculture!

What role will agriculture play in the future?
