The network for agriculture in Ontario, Canada

I am hearing that the end users are concerned about the amount of corn with high levels of vomatoxin.  Is this a widespread issue or just local?  What is the cause of the problem this year?  Weather or is there corn genetic problems?

Lots of concern about feed levels with pig farmers.

 

I believe there is an issue but it is being over-hyped as a means to sell more feed and feed additives

Forage Report

Alfalfa and grass are growing well and will respond quickly to moisture and heat. The May 14th frost did very little damage to established alfalfa and new seedings.
