So far this year it appears that the Ontario wheat yield is destined to break the record for the Ontario average as the yields have been better than expected following the late planting dates. Corn was the biggest surprise in this version of the January USDA World Agriculture Supply and Demand Report. The market was expecting a reduction in acreage or yield based on the 5% of the US corn crop remaining in the field.
