Words with no action. Since been on this site yes I have been guilty like most, of voicing my opion on government policy. Lets call a spade a spade, as farmers, we have no voice in any discions in regards to policies, laws and having no control with respect to how they run their farm. We are slaves to the bank, multi national, government regulation, from local to fedral. Our grain, animals, and fertizer is being monopolized by one company.
We love our lifestyle, but walk around with rose coloured classes, with the attude it will be right Jack. We form Boards, committees, and orginzation, that are financed by the very powers, that are out to destroy us. Have to go begging to politians, who pratrozise with promises and changes. Dealing with faceless policy makers and burocrates for grants and permits, licences to do our job, on our own land.
A farm was a respected person once, what would happen if we went on strike for a month, not food, no transport contracts, no organic orange juice on our Premiers or Priminster table for breakfast. How much money would be lost to the multinationals and government. Maybe then we could get our voice heard, with a bit more respect than words. You can't eat money. This might sound ratical but, if all those fancy restraunts and Mcdonalds have only bake beans on the menu. We might get a better deal. After all they are out to destroy your lifestyle.
