DESCRIPTION:The Ontario Forage Council is proud to announce our upcomi
 ng annual Forage Focus Conference 2012, this years’ theme is:  “M
 anaging Profitable Forages Now and for the Future”.  The conference
  will be held in Winchester on Tuesday, November 27th at the Wincheste
 r Community Centre, and in Shakespeare on Wednesday, November 28th at 
 the Shakespeare Optimist Hall.  Presentations are CEU accredited.\nTh
 is years’ keynote speaker is Dr. Michael Hutjens from the University
  of Illinois.  Dr Hutjens will be speaking on two topics, ”The Role
  of Forages for a Profitable Operation”, and “Lessons Learned from
  a Challenging Season”.  Dr. Hutjens has won awards from the Illino
 is Milk Producers, Holstein Association and the University, but he is 
 also very active in all forms of media.  You can watch him on YouTube
 , iTunes, Webinar, catch his blog on Dairyline.com, read his articles 
 in Hoard’s Dairyman, and on Googlebooks, and even watch his presenta
 tions online.  The Ontario Forage Council welcomes Dr. Hutjens to Ont
 ario, an enthusiastic speaker with information that you can put to use
  immediately.\nJoel Bagg, Forage Specialist, OMAFRA will speak on “C
 oping with the Forage Challenges of 2012”.  There will also be a re
 presentative from Agricorp present to explain the benefits of “Crop 
 Production Insurance, Now and in the Future”.\nThe cost of this year
 s’ conference is $40, and includes conference proceedings and a hot 
 roast beef lunch.  Books of 10 tickets are available at a reduced rat
 e to treat customers, or staff.  Registration deadline is November 23
 rd, registrations will be accepted at the door, but may not include th
 e hot roast beef lunch.  Registration is available by phone, or mail.
