SUMMARY:Grassland Bird Conservation on Farms
DESCRIPTION:Grassland bird species at risk, such as bobolink, rely on 
 hayfields and pastures for nesting habitat in Ontario. Bird Ecology an
 d Conservation Ontario, a small non-profit organization, has been work
 ing with farmers since 2016 to implement stewardship for nesting grass
 land birds while trying to minimize negative impacts on farm productio
 n. Join us to learn about the grassland birds that may be nesting in y
 our hayfields and pastures and to find out what we have learned so far
  about the challenges and opportunities for grassland bird conservatio
 n in agricultural grasslands. We encourage course participants to shar
 e details about their farm operations for a collaborative discussion a
 bout finding ways to make space for nesting grassland birds in hayfiel
