The Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Beef (CRSB) is a global leader in sustainability. From farm to fork, this group continues to introduce new ideas, push boundaries and drive innovation to advance Canadian agriculture. As one of Ducks Unlimited Canada's (DUC) most trusted partners, the CRSB also goes above and beyond in its efforts to support habitat conservation. In recognition of the CRSB's many contributions to land stewardship, it was named the deserving recipient of DUC's first-ever Conservation Award of Distinction. The Conservation Award of Distinction celebrates outstanding leadership and supporting conservation actions that have resulted in significant, positive environmental impacts across the country. DUC presented the award to the CRSB at the Canadian Cattle Association's annual general meeting in Ottawa last week.
A renewed funding partnership between the Government of Canada and the Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) will see an investment of $7.6 million to strengthen the competitiveness, innovation, and resiliency of the agriculture, agri-food sector in the Northwest Territories (NWT) over the next 5 years.
The Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP) will officially go into effect on April 1, 2023
Eastern Canadian farmers represented by the Atlantic Grains Council, Grain Farmers of Ontario, Quebec Grain Farmers, Ontario Bean Growers, and Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario say the federal budget misses the mark on returning fertilizer tariffs paid by farmers.
Grain Farmers of Ontario, the province’s largest commodity organization, representing Ontario’s 28,000 barley, corn, oat, soybean and wheat farmers, congratulates Ben Lobb, Member of Parliament for Huron-Bruce, on the successful Third Reading of his Private Member Bill: Bill C-234: An Act to amend the Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act.
