Event Description

This conference addresses contemporary issues and potential policy solutions facing the agri-food system in Canada today. The key issues to be discussed include :
(1) the risks and benefits of trade with China;
(2) GM Labeling;
(3) food security on First Nations;
(4) African Swine Disease;
(5) enhancing competitiveness in the Canadian Agri-Food Sector; and
(6) cutting edge research on policy matters and more.

In addition, all conference participants will have the opportunity to participate in a post-conference workshop designed to promote networking to address these challenges. Importantly, student research will be promoted throughout the conference in terms of a poster competition and presentations.
