Event Description

With the competition site and competitors ready, the Ottawa Carleton Plowmen’s Association is putting the final touches on hosting the 2016 Canadian Plowing Championships (CPC-16) on August 24 – 27, 2016 at Anderson Links Golf Club, 4175 Anderson Road in Ottawa.

CPC-16 competitors will represent their province in one of three plowing classes: Senior Conventional, Senior Reversible and Junior Conventional.

Winners of the senior classes will represent Canada in the 2017 World Ploughing Competition in Kenya and the junior class is competing for a scholarship to Olds College in Alberta.

The local Ottawa Carleton Plowing Match will be held at the same location on Saturday, August 27.

The CPC-16 four-day challenge will include VIP and media ploughing, social events and a tour of Ottawa, wrapping things up with an awards banquet on Saturday evening. Free admission and parking.
