​BDO is pleased to invite you to a complimentary presentation (including lunch) specifically about the dairy industry and topics that affect you directly: updates about tax and farm programs including GF2, benchmarking, business transition planning and valuations of farm operations.

Our keynote speaker will be Andrew Campbell, @FreshAirFarmer, #farm365. Recently interviewed on CTV's Canada AM, Andrew is a partner in Bellson Farms and former CKNX Farm Editor. He will talk about the power of social media - Facebook, Twitter and YouTube - how it can help you stay more informed, and his recent experiences with #farm365.

USDA Announces Approval of D-SNAP for Virginia Disaster Areas

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced that people recovering from Tropical Storm Helene may be eligible for food assistance through USDA’s Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP). Approximately 22,858 households in nine counties are estimated to be eligible for this relief to help with grocery expenses.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Risk Management Agency in 2023 worked with Science for Success Soybean Specialists across the country and shifted the earliest soybean-planting date in states where data was available.
