Survey finds strong support for North Carolina pork industry

A statewide survey of North Carolina voters shows overwhelmingly support for the pork industry, with 73% saying that hog farming has a positive impact on the state, compared to just 14% who think it has a negative impact. Alberta Pork reports that pricing remains stable in the province, with the Alberta formula-based price at $2.3417/kg. However, producers in Ontario and Quebec continue to face lower prices, with Ontario’s 100% formula base dropping to $2.1440/kg and Quebec’s price now at $1.9768/kg.
