Do More Ag will be providing the “Talk, Ask, Listen” webinar, broken down into one hour modules at zero cost during Mental Illness Awareness Week, October 5-8, 2020.

The workshop provides information on topics such as:

  • The signs and symptoms of mental illness, anxiety, depression, stress, and substance use, including the unique statistics and factors the agriculture industry experiences.

  • What support looks like, depending on your level of education, experience, and training.

  • How to prepare and have conversations with someone who you identify may be experiencing a mental health challenge.

  • How to support others and yourself, and how to access resources.

  • Self care and prevention strategies for mental wellness.

Oct 5: Module 1 - Mental Health Awareness 

This module discusses mental health and different forms of mental illnesses

Oct 6: Module 2 - Providing Support 

This module discusses what support looks like and how to start conversations when someone is going through a hard time

Oct 7: Module 3 - Supporting Within Your Means 

This module is for those who are in supporting roles and discusses boundaries, appropriate intervention based on comfort and training, and resources for yourself and others.

Oct 8: Module 4 - How to Take Care of Yourself 

This module discusses self care and reviews tips, strategies and practical applications on how to take care of yourself and your mental health.
