Looking for ideas for all those Spring projects? Looking for ways to buy local and
support your community? The Town of Erin Home and Lifestyle Show is for you!
Come see all the businesses that are hidden within the hills of this community on Saturday, May 1, 2100 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Centre 2000 Arena, 14 Boland Drive in Erin.

There will be lots of items for sale including specialty glass and iron ware, furniture, landscaping items, fresh farm produce, toys, books, gifts for your favourite pet, designer items, plus ideas for your home including deck consultations, home renovations and much more!

If you are a business owner, registration information is available at http://www.erin.ca/Whats-On or call 519-855-6683. You can also email ewintersinger@hotmail.com. Registration closes March 31, 2010 and the show sells out early!

Admission is $2.00 for adults and children are free. Be one of the first 200 visitors and receive a FREE gift bag filled with goodies from the participating vendors plus each visitor will receive a FREE ticket to enter the door prize draw – all door prizes generously donated by the many exhibitors!

Many of you may have read that James Snyder passed away suddenly in New Zealand, his second home. You may have no idea who he was, other than his love and involvement with local arts and culture. He truly enjoyed working with so many people who made Chatham-Kent a better place to live. I knew James for his love for the land and for his impact in the agriculture sector, not just here in Chatham-Kent, but across Ontario and Canada and in many parts of the world. In past columns, I’ve discussed people who have helped guide me, not only as a person, but also in my agriculture career. James Snyder was one of them. James was very proud of his British heritage. During my last visit, he took me through his downtown Chatham apartment, showing me every square foot — each of which had something of value to James. I met James when I started working for the Municipality of Chatham-Kent. I was working with Ron Anderson, our agriculture specialist, with whom James worked closely trying to expand
