Hello,

 

Looking for some information on growing a tobacco farm for commercial resale (not for personal use).   ,can someone point me to a website and/or other info to review regulations, commercial potential etc.

Hi Sid,
I am not an expert but recall tobacco falls under a number of regulations.

I would check out the Ontario FlueCured Tobacco Growers website or call them if you have questions.

Alberta couple signs second agreement with NCC to preserve Prairie Grasslands

A significant block of native Prairie Grasslands in the southern-most point of Alberta is now being conserved. Boundary Creek couple Colleen and Dale Adams have signed an agreement with the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC). It means their 128 hectare (315 acre) cattle ranch will remain a working landscape while spared from any future subdivision, drainage or cultivation. With a lot of competition for land in the area, the family wanted to ensure this cattle grazing site and haven for wildlife remains unspoiled.
