What was your favourite moment from the International Plowing Match? Rick Mercer Made a Visit and Tried Square Dancing with a Tractor

With the Eligin - St. Thomas International Plowing Match over for another season, what did you take away from the event? What was your favourite part?

 

Rick Mercer is certainly always entertaining. This is him square dancing with a tractor. The show should air sometime in the next 2 - 3 weeks.

Just to let everyone know, the International Plowing Match video for the Rick Mercer show will be on Tuesday October 5th @ 8:00 pm on the CBC!

On its first day back after a 21-week break, the government under Premier Doug Ford introduced a sweeping bill that could change how Ontarians learn about provincial decisions affecting the environment — and what residents can do if they disagree. By day two, Bill 140, the Building Ontario Faster Act, 2026, reached second reading. But it didn’t sit well with the opposition. “The government does not want people to tell them what they think.
