Event Description

Please save the date for the Georgian Central SCIA Compaction Day, Thursday July 16th, 2026, at Tupling Farms in Redickville ON.

The day will see a wide variety of soil compaction demonstrations – everything from grain buggys, to combines and potato harvesters, to forage equipment! Implements are driven over underground pressure sensors which send real-time data to a giant presentation screen at the field’s edge. Commentators keep the day rolling: interpreting data, relaying equipment metrics and sparking discussion with the audience.

On top of the compaction demos, the event will also highlight hands on education stations on cover crops, manure management and tire ballasting. Producers can browse a tradeshow and check out additional equipment on display all day long too!

Tickets are $30.00 for OSCIA members and $50.00 for non-members, with a catered lunch included. Not an OSCIA member yet, but would like to become one? Purchase your membership before your tickets here!

*This event is recognized as OSCIA OFCAF KSE under BMP category Nitrogen Management and Cover Cropping

EMILI is celebrating its tenth birthday during EMILI Field Day on July 15, and as part of the celebrations, attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations for Harvest Manitoba. EMILI staff will be collecting donations during Field Day. A link to donate is also available.
