Alpaca Ontario Celebrates Their 10th Anniversary Spring Show
April 9th 8:30am - 4:00pm, April 10th 8:30am - 3:00pm
Come on out to the Orangeville Fairgrounds and help Alpaca Ontario celebrate their 10th
Anniversary Spring Show.
Last year saw almost 400 alpacas parade through the ring to be judged over a 2 day show
event that was not to be missed. Breeders came from as far as Prince Edward Island and
British Columbia to take part in the largest alpaca halter show in Canada.
Take a stroll through the alpaca barns, view all the animals and have a chat with some
breeders. Learn all there is to know about this wonderful livestock opportunity. Take in
the vendor area for a look at just what can be made with the beautiful fleece from these
gentle animals. The photo contest is always a popular display, showing our favourite animals in their best, and sometimes most humorous, light.
There is a lot to see and learn in the Fibre Fantasy Area. Sit a while and watch the
spinning and weaving demonstration and get a sense of what this re-popularized art form
is all about. Peruse the fibre display and see what happens after the fleece is shorn in the
spring time. Many breeders are quite crafty and enter their creations in our Fibre Arts
Competition to be judged. You can take part by filling out a People’s Choice Ballot and
selecting your favourite pieces.
Short seminars will be offered throughout the weekend on fibre and alpacas in general.
Breakfast and Lunch will be available in the vendor area. And of course, we welcome
you to sit back and enjoy the show.
Admission is free. Plenty of free parking available
We Hope We’ll See You There!
