Event Description

FreshFest pairs up great chefs with local produce to create tantalizing tasters, and the results are DELICOUS! Add wine, beer and cooler samples, music, a silent auction in support of the Station, and you get an evening you won’t want to miss. The Third Annual event returns to the CASO Railway Station in St. Thomas on Thurday August 25th, 2011, 5-9pm.

Mark your calendar and plan to meet us at the station on the evening of August 25. Tickets, including a souvenir wine glass and 14 sampling coupons are $35 ($30.98 plus $4.02 hst).

USDA Announces Approval of D-SNAP for Virginia Disaster Areas

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced that people recovering from Tropical Storm Helene may be eligible for food assistance through USDA’s Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP). Approximately 22,858 households in nine counties are estimated to be eligible for this relief to help with grocery expenses.
