Event Description

This session will provide information on the Growing Forward 2 program, a comprehensive federal-provincial-territorial framework aimed at encouraging innovation, competitiveness and market development in Canada's agri-food and agri-products sector.

The anticipated participants will be Ontario producers, processors, and organizations/collaborations.

The session will be hosted by Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association and Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food/Ministry of Rural Affairs - Rural Programs Branch.

Au cours de cette séance d’information, des renseignements seront communiqués au sujet du programme Cultivons l’avenir 2, un cadre stratégique complet, fédéral-provincial-territorial, destiné à promouvoir l’innovation, la compétitivité et le développement des marchés pour le secteur canadien de l’agroalimentaire et des produits agricoles.

La séance d’information s’adresse aux producteurs, aux entreprises de transformation, aux organisations et aux partenariats de l’Ontario du milieu.

La séance sera organisée par l’Association pour l’amélioration des sols et des cultures de l’Ontario ainsi que par le ministère de l’Agriculture et de l’Alimentation de l'Ontario et le ministère des Affaires rurales – Direction des programmes pour les collectivités rurales.

USDA Announces Approval of D-SNAP for Virginia Disaster Areas

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced that people recovering from Tropical Storm Helene may be eligible for food assistance through USDA’s Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP).
