Congrats to the University of Guelph NAMA Student Business Competition Team Who Won Second Place in Kansas City.

We were delighted to watch the University of Guelph Student team compete against 29 very strong student teams from the leading Agriculture Universities from across the USA and Saskatchewan.  Each team presented a business plan to a panel of judges who evaluate the project.

Here are the final results.

Autonomous Pivot’s technology uses cameras and ground penetrating radar to collect soil-moisture data, crop imagery, rainfall, pressure, GPS location, and irrigation activity to help growers make better irrigation and crop-management decisions. The company sees centre pivots, traditionally used exclusively for irrigation and fertigation, as underutilized pieces of equipment that are in the field more than any producer or agrologist.
