Despite what Mr. Vyn says, the reality is that turbines will lower land values.   In Southern Huron County, two farms that have wind turbine leases registered against them were offered for sale by tender, and the result, the farms did NOT sell.   In addition, what sensible person would want to own property beside or in fact own property that are leased for wind turbines and then have several multi-million dollar lawsuits filed against you?

Hi Michael,

What Mr Vyn is trying to do is actual research and data analysis over the hearsay and negative perceptions generated by the NIMBY folks.

The government has the set back distances so it is difficult for a landowner to be sued for multi million dollars if you are legal.

I doubt farmland would not sell if you can grow your crops and generate a return...you are probably right that no one wanted that Southern Huron farm land...
