The family also grows corn, soybeans, wheat, and hay on 1900 acres. In addition, they raise Clydesdale horses and sell corn and soybean seeds to local growers. The Spoelstras are passionate and progressive farmers and firm believers in doing what you love to make a living. The family was awarded the BMO Farm Family Award in 2017, recognizing their dedication to Ontario’s agriculture sector, community, and rural way of life.
