Event Description

Have you every wondered how farming was done before John Deere painted their first tractor green?

How were the crops sown and grown with only manual labour and horse power to help? Well if you find yourself at the Dan Patterson Conservation Area between 9am and 5pm on August 12 and 13, or between 8am and 5pm on August the 14th, you can find out at the Elgin Historical Show.

This event, held on the second full weekend in August shows just how farmers farmed before the internet, cars, or even electricity.

On the Sunday, there is a breakfast from 8 til 10!
