Are you ready to transition from collecting notes on a paper pad, to collecting it on a device? Are you ready to get more productive, efficient and profitable? Ashleigh Weeden, IT Grey County, will guide agribusiness reps, and an OMAFRA rep, through an interactive and fun discussion on all of these items, and more.  Plus, hear from farmers about their tech experiences. USDA Announces Approval of D-SNAP for Virginia Disaster Areas

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced that people recovering from Tropical Storm Helene may be eligible for food assistance through USDA’s Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP). Approximately 22,858 households in nine counties are estimated to be eligible for this relief to help with grocery expenses.

Cool Bean: Consider planting earlier

Research across the Midwest has shown that early-planted soybean have greater yield potential compared to those planted later. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Risk Management Agency in 2023 worked with Science for Success Soybean Specialists across the country and shifted the earliest soybean-planting date in states where data was available.
