Facilitators: Delma Kennedy and Jillian Craig, OMAFRA

The course is targeted for people interested in, or thinking about, getting started in either sheep or goat production. This basic course will focus on four key components: An overview of sheep and goat farming in Ontario; Production requirements; Processing, marketing and economics; and a local farm tour. The course will be mainly an ‘in class’ session followed by a tour of a working meat sheep farm. The course will be offered by Delma Kennedy, Sheep Specialist and Jillian Craig, Small Ruminant Specialist, with OMAFRA, and hosted by Grey Ag Services. Cost includes USB resource key, hot lunch, farm tour and much more. Time: 9:00 am to 4:30 pm Cost: $75 per person.
