Event Description

Facilitated by Mark Ferguson (OMAFRA) this course is aimed at those interested in starting a farm business.  Course will go over the new entrant self assessment and hilight some of the basic information to help you get started on yoru new journey.  Learn about the importance of panning, evaluating different market opportunties, financing your new business and record keeping.

2020 Ontario Grain Corn Ear Mould and Deoxynivalenol (DON) Mycotoxin Survey

OMAFRA field crop specialists in collaboration with Grain Farmers of Ontario (GFO) and members of the Ontario Agri-Business Association (OABA) have completed the annual Ontario corn ear mould and DON mycotoxin survey. Corn ear moulds such as Gibberella and their corresponding mycotoxins occur every year in Ontario.

$6.35M genomics grapevine project announced

On Monday, $16 million in federal funding was announced to support 10 new genomics research projects funded through Genome Canada.
