Event Description

Climate Friendly Gardening. Facilitators: Grey County Master Gardeners

What is the impact of changing weather patterns on our home gardens?

How do we as gardeners adapt our best practices in horticulture to mitigate the unpredictable effects of these changes in our environment?

Just as important, how do our gardens and how we manage them affect our climate?  What are the ways we home gardeners can adapt our common practices to make a positive impact on climate change?

Grey County Master Gardeners will discuss the impact of climate change on our home gardens – and how we can contribute to solutions.  We will consider strategies related to plant selection and care, and soil and water management.
